Bogus Basin Announces Winter Music Series, New Venue

December 23, 2022 (BOISE, ID)– Today Bogus Basin announced plans for a new winter series, featuring upbeat DJ sets with a lounge style vibe. The weekly music series launches Saturday, January 28th and will take place in a newly designed gathering space, The High Peak Hangout, located on the third floor of Pioneer Lodge.

The non-profit recently signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with local brewery, Western Collective, to present its winter and summer music series. The two organizations collaborated on the design of The High Peak Hangout, creating a comfortable, welcoming venue for guests 21 years and older.

“Bogus Basin and Western Collective share an interest in creating social spaces for all community members to enjoy,” said Austin Smith, Bogus Basin’s Director of Innovation and Marketing. “The High Peak Hangout is a unique new place where our guests can relax, enjoy good food and beverages, and appreciate some of Bogus Basin’s spectacular views.”

Music on the Mountain, presented by Western Collective, will run Saturdays, January 28th through March 25th, 6:00-9:00pm, at The High Peak Hangout. DJ sets will feature upbeat, energetic music ranging from hip hop to melodic and progressive dance music.

Design work on The High Peak Hangout is complete and the space is ready for guests to enjoy. Full food and beverage service is available at Pioneer Lodge including, La Cumbre Taqueria, a new Mexican-style restaurant located on the 3rd floor.

Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is the largest nonprofit recreation area in the country. It is a 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain, and 165 acres for night skiing; eleven lifts and three people-mover carpets; an 800-foot tubing hill, and a 4,251 foot Mountain Coaster.
