September 1, 2016 (BOISE, ID)– Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is ready to close out a successful summer season with its final all day Music on the Mountain festival on Saturday, September 3rd. The event, sponsored by 10 Barrel Brewing Co., will include live music throughout the afternoon outside JR Simplot Lodge, chairlift rides, a bike shuttle from JR Simplot Lodge to Pioneer Lodge, and free bike demos and repairs. Football fans will be able to watch the Boise State versus Louisiana Lafayette game on large screen televisions inside Simplot Lodge.
The Deerpoint Chair (#1) will operate for scenic rides and mountain bike transport from 11:00am-4:00pm Saturday-Monday, providing access to mountain views and Bogus Basin’s expanding trail system. Cost for an all-day pass is $25, which includes the bike shuttle. Single ride chairlift tickets cost $10. All ages are welcome. The Simplot Lodge will be open for full food & beverage service from 11:00am-7:00pm.

Bogus Basin is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain, and 165 acres for night skiing; seven lifts and two people-mover carpets; and an 800-foot tubing hill.
