August 27, 2015 (BOISE, ID)– After spending the summer conducting an in-depth analysis of current operations, market conditions, community input, and multi-season recreation opportunities, Bogus Basin is ready to preview the findings with the public.
An open house and presentation is planned for Tuesday, September 1st at the Highlands Event Center (2590 Bogus Basin Road) from 5:30-7:00pm. Examples of potential improvements and recreational opportunities will be on display and attendees will have an opportunity to discuss the information with members of Bogus Basin’s volunteer Board of Directors.
Mayor Bieter will open the presentation at 6:00pm with remarks about City of Boise’s long-time partnership and commitment to Bogus Basin. Ted Beeler, President of SE Group, will then conduct a presentation detailing the background, process and findings from the study.
Following the event, the public will be able to comment via an online survey at bogusbasin.org. The results of this survey will help gauge support for the ideas and inform the final phase of the feasibility study, which is scheduled to be complete in October. The findings will guide the development of a plan and strategy for the future direction of the organization.
Bogus Basin will celebrate its landmark 75th anniversary in 2016. The “Beyond 75 Feasibility Study” was made possible by a grant from the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation and donations from the City of Boise and a private donor.
