That’s right; Bogus Basin begins daily operations on Friday, December 8th, 2023! With the help of snowmaking and last week’s 17″ storm, Bogus Basin crews are set to reopen The Deer Point Express Chairlift, Morning Star Express Chairlift, Coach Chairlift, The Explorer Terrain Park Conveyor Lift, and Easy Rider Conveyor Lift for 7-day-a-week operations! Your mountain crews are ready for snowmaking temperatures and natural snowfall to open more terrain for you to enjoy at Bogus Basin.
Last weekend, your mountain crews managed to achieve the planned Deer Point Express Chairlift opening serving Showcase run and a surprise opening of Upper and Lower Ridge runs. In a last-minute effort thanks to Idaho’s 2nd largest snowmaking system and 17 inches of natural snowfall, Bogus Basin opened Morning Star Express Chairlift servicing the popular Silver Queen run and the Frontier Point Trail System for Nordic sking and Snowshoeing on Saturday. The team did not stop there, adding Pioneer Trail and Alpine to our list of open groomed alpine runs and adding over 9km of groomed cross country skiing on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023.
Throughout the first significant storm of the season, Bogus Basin operated five lifts on our 3rd weekend of operations, providing stoke to 5,500+ smiling locals eager to enjoy the snowy slopes. With another storm rolling in this weekend and forecasts calling for up to 15″ of snow, our teams are preparing to open more of the mountain if conditions allow. We are ready, it’s up to Mother Nature now!

Are You Ready To Ride at Bogus Basin?
Don’t get stuck in line while your friends are out enjoying the snow. Make sure you’re ready to ride when you arrive at the mountain this weekend. If you’re a reloading pass holder, make sure to bring your existing RFID media to avoid paying the replacement fee. On your way up the hill this weekend, stop into the Downtown Ticket Office to triple-check that you’re ready to ride. The Downtown Ticket Office is located at the base of Bogus Basin Road (2600 N Bogus Basin Road) and rarely has a line 😉.
Did you purchase your ticket online? Skip the ticket windows by scanning the QR code included in your confirmation email at the online ticket pickup kiosks located outside of the J.R. Simplot Lodge Mountain Ticket Office and receive your RFID ticket!
Make sure to keep your RFID media away from a cell phone or credit cards when riding on the mountain.

Day ticket release schedule
Beginning this week, Bogus Basin Day Lift tickets will be available for purchase on Wednesdays. Bogus Basin releases tickets at 4 pm on Wednesdays for the upcoming weekend and following midweek days. Tickets for this weekend and next week, 12/8 – 12/15, are available beginning Wednesday, 12/6, at 4 pm.

Beginning Saturday, December 9th, the Pioneer Lodge and Pioneer Grill is open daily. The J.R. Simplot Lodge, Bogus Creek Grill, and JoJo Beans Coffee Shop are open daily.
