July 6, 2018 (BOISE, ID)– As the heat persists in the Treasure Valley, seven-day operations at Bogus Basin are hitting their stride, offering a nearby escape for local residents and visitors. With valley temperatures expected to remain well into the nineties over the next several days, visitors to the nonprofit recreation area, located just 16 miles from downtown Boise, will find temperatures that are 15 degrees lower on average.
“The air is noticeably cooler at Bogus Basin, which is an especially pleasant surprise for our guests on these hot summer days,” said General Manager, Brad Wilson. “It is incredibly rewarding to see how much everyone is enjoying the new amenities, often spending an entire day exploring the mountain and hanging out on the new plaza and lawn.”
This Saturday, July 7th, the second all day “Music on the Mountain” concert event is planned in the Simplot Base Area, featuring free, family-friendly live music from noon until 6:00pm. A total of five Music on the Mountain concert events are planned for the summer: June 30, July 7, July 21, August 4, and August 18. On other weekends, guests can enjoy live music on the patio Saturdays and Sundays from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. For a complete schedule of events, visit: www.bogusbasin.org.
