March 14, 2018 (BOISE, ID)– With 6″ of new snow and more in the forecast, Bogus Basin has planned a fun-filled weekend of events and activities to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, entertain NCAA basketball tournament guests, and commemorate the grand opening of the Double R Ranch BBQ Smokehouse, a new full-service food & beverage outlet located on Bogus Creek Plaza, in the base area.
“March is a great time to head up to the mountain, and we look forward to welcoming visitors in town for the NCAA basketball tournament, and others who want to come up to ride the Glade Runner mountain coaster or listen to music on the plaza” said General Manager, Brad Wilson. The Glade Runner, which opened in December, operates Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00am until 9:00pm, and Sunday from 11:00am to 4:30pm.

About Bogus Basin Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is a 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to engaging the community to provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin offers 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain, and 165 acres for night skiing; eleven lifts and three people-mover carpets; an 800-foot tubing hill. The Nordic Center offers 37 kilometers of groomed trails. Environmental education and community outreach programs serve over 20,000 individuals annually, primarily youth. Summer activities include the Glade Runner, a 4,251 foot mountain coaster, The Mine Shaft Challenge course, mountain biking, events, hiking and chairlift service for hike and bike transport.
