BOISE, Idaho – Bogus Basin announced today that it has postponed its Thanksgiving Day opening to this weekend. The decision to open on Saturday, November 25th, allows for an extra day of snowmaking, ensuring optimal conditions for local ski and snowboard enthusiasts.

BOGUS BASIN’S THANKSGIVING WEEKEND OPERATING PLAN
Bogus Basin guests can ride the Coach Chairlift, Easy Rider Carpet, and Explorer Carpet this Saturday, November 25th, and Sunday, November 26th, 2023, from 10 am – 4 pm. Valid season passes for the weekend include: True Bogus, Beyond Bogus, and Anytime Winter passes. Midweek and Night Season Passes are not eligible; Twilight Season Passes are eligible from 3 pm to close at 4 pm.
Lift Tickets, Lessons, and rental equipment
Coach and Conveyor Day tickets cost $15 (plus tax) for all ages (6 and up). Lift tickets are available for advance online purchase starting at 4 pm, Wednesday, November 22nd. Tickets are also available for purchase at the Downtown Sales Office and Simplot Lodge Mountain Ticket Office this weekend. The Downtown Sales Office is closed on Thanksgiving Day. Private alpine lessons are available through the Bogus Basin Ski & Snowboard School. Call (208) 332-5340; advance reservation required. The Rental Shop is open for equipment rentals.
Food and Beverage
The Bogus Creek Grill, located in J.R. Simplot Lodge, plans to offer a limited menu, and J.R.’s T-Bar will provide full beverage service.
Following the Thanksgiving weekend, Bogus Basin is closed for midweek operations. Bogus Basin officials expect to reopen the recreation area the following weekend.

Opened in 1942, Bogus Basin winter operations offer 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 200+ acres for night skiing; eleven lifts – including four high-speed quads – and three people-mover surface lifts; an 800-foot tubing hill.
